The Big Finish

There was a lot of mystery and intrigue for me going into the long awaited follow up to the cultural sensation Black Panther. With the untimely death of lead Chadwick Boseman there were numerous rumors and directions the story could go but in my opinion the sequel delivers in every way possible. Coogler did an exceptional job here calling the action and, in many ways, topped his predecessor. Two noticeable differences for me that was way better than the original was the CGI and cinematography for the action sequences. The desert battle was extremely satisfying. As the film shifts focus more to Shuri’s perspective, I really enjoyed the internal battle she struggled with between science and spirituality. The entire cast really elevated their game, but Angela Basset WENT OFF with an incredible performance that really carried the movie in certain stretches. Not just given the circumstances the return trip to Wakanda was very well welcomed for me and provided A perfect tribute to a fallen king and hero.
