The Big Finish

Dwayne Johnson coming into a comic book franchise was bound to happen sooner or later, but I will say this seems far overdue. For all of the superhero fatigue in Hollywood I did not find anything that was insultingly bad here. The run time was perfect for the storyline. All of the fight scenes were decent and comedic elements were on point. Outside of the ill-timed Kanye record and the cliche of ending off on the hero introducing his name I don’t have any complaints here. This is pretty much everything you want in an action film as “The great one” may have just rescued the DC universe in this effort. Sometimes white nights come in the form of a black savior.
