The Big Finish

You are not you when you are hot. After viewing this historical cinematic classic again I can’t help but think how this movie would not be possible if it wasn’t for it being over 100 degrees outside. This film will forever live on for many cultural reasons. Such as the snub for best picture, the put on of Martin Lawrence or the war that would initiate for stepping on somebodies Jordan’s. Even though Spike was very early on in his career no one could deny his mastery for using a camera and telling a story. There is an abundancies of topics that still reign true today. Such as how companies prosper off of black dollars without reciprocating the same recognition to its supporters. I mean having a black person on your establishments wall would not kill you. The I can’t breathe regiment of Radio Raheem’s death is so foreshadowing of this country and truly displays how not much has changed in over thirty years or any timeframe for that matter. The final sequence is very moving. become a product of his environment, As much as Mookie tried not to become a product of his environment, there is really so much injustice one could take until they eventually snap. With all of the racial and police tension in society it really proves that equality is of most importance. We just want our fair share not looking for a hand out.
