THE BIG FINISH
Netflix has been doing the most when it comes to their marketing campaign for the latest big budget feature Bird Box. When I say Sandra Bullock carried this film she CARRIED this film including every one who was trapped in that house with her. Which is incredible considering the amount of casual star power there is to offer. The academy award winner has knack of elevating any picture she is in no matter how terrible to a respectable product. This is also a good outing for Trevante Rhodes who really shined here and needed the experience of working side by side with a great veteran actress such as Bullock. There is an abundance of action sequences that are visually pleasing. Also provided are some nice cameo spots by LIl Rel and Machine Gun Kelley that will draw up some laughs. As much as I enjoyed this film it was not enough to side step the giant plot holes. The lack of consistency of who would hear voices and who could live without blindfolds actually became very frustrating. With the amount of memes and social media buzz however, Netflix has to be proud of what it accomplished with this movie so for them it is a company win. Far from a complete picture Bird Box is wildly amusing and ultimately lives up to all the hype.

I’ve seen memes about this film all over social media, I guess I’ll give it a view. But what’s with all of these apocalyptic films and television shows? Subliminal messages?

It’s entertaining but really lacks consistency. I just think post apocalyptic films generate buzz and money so that is why they are constantly being produced.

Finally saw this and I too had fun with it. Great point about Bullock. She is really good and does indeed carry the film.
